Mezcales Avispón
Santa Maria de Zoquitlan, is a town located in the central valleys of the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Here we sow and cultivate agaves for the preparation of Mezcal Avispón in a 100% organic and artisanal way.
Mezcal can be made with 12 different species of agave; 80% of the mezcal produced comes from Espadín and the rest of wild agaves such as Tobalá, Madrecuixe, Tobasiche, Quixe, Tepeztates, Arroqueño, Sierra Negra, Cupreata among many others.
Our commitment is not only with the quality of our mezcal, we are also involved with the communities, with the producers and artisans involved in the process and packaging of the product. That is why we choose to have boxes decorated by hand, where each piece, as each drink is a unique experience.
Our Craft Boxes
The artisans are of Zapotec origin from Oaxaca, they produce unique pieces, although they can be similar they will never be identical. These crafts are not subject to mass production due to their manual elaboration, carried out with the same dedication and patience as our mezcal.
Each of our boxes contains:
- Mezcal Avispón
- Worm or Chapulin salt
- Mezcalero Glasses
Agave Espadín
(Angustifolia) of young aging distilled in copper and clay barrels.
Agave Tobalá
(Potatorum) distilled in copper and clay. 6 months of rest in glass barrels.
